The Wisconsin State Fair, home of the world famous cream puffs and everything fried on a stick, opens Saturday in the Milwaukee suburb of West Allis.
The main food attraction are the cream puffs. At last year's state fair, 392,000 cream puffs were sold at $3.50 each, according to the Wisconsin Bakers Association. Customers may also use a drive-through window in the early morning hours, before the fair opens for the day, and buy a six-pack of cream puffs for $18.
