AMERICAN R&B singer and songwriter Keri Hilson has been ‘Cured’. Hilson, while on a recent visit to Jamaica, called on Reggae singer Jah Cure, of whom she’s a fan and ‘twittered’ all weekend via Twitter.

Hilson, one of the many performers billed for the world-renowned Reggae Sumfest’s 2009 staging, used the micro-blog to periodically update her fans of her many adventures on the island.

During her brief stint on the Rock, her Twitter page was abuzz with updates varying from the sampling of local delicacies — oxtail, jerk as well as the more potent and widely sampled overproof rum — to fraternising with the international reggae crooner Jah Cure.

Hilson ‘twittered’ her admiration for the artiste, declaring herself as having a long-standing interest in his musical offerings. Indicative of a true fan, the songstress alluded to her ‘completeness’ after being introduced to the ‘Cure’, who was also a performer at the reggae festival. Hilson, through her Twitter page, made known her longing for a more Jamaican experience.

“And I was only too happy to provide it,” a smiling Jah Cure, who is riding high onthe succes of his album The Universal Cure, told Chat!. He said he met Keri at Sumfest as they both performed on Friday, International Night 1, “and I found out that she’s a fan of mine and wanted to get a taste of the real Yard vibes, so I made sure she had a good time,” he confided.

Maybe he wasn't the ideal artiste to close the show.
