Clearly though, he was stupid.

Gates must also be exasperated to have to deal with police probing in his house, especially after he gave proof of identity.

you make an excellent point there Rockman....

Perhaps he had all the facts given..., it is ill-advised for a President to comment on such matters however if he had spewed the usual rhetoric about police officers need to be given the benefit of the doubt, that would've been accepted. Ongle Obama would've done what he did, and I am sure he will give a retraction IF(not proven otherwise) needed gamma.
