    New Zealander shot and killed

A top level probe has been launched into the fatal shooting of an international consultant at a guesthouse in upper St. Andrew Tuesday night.

st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) }The incident happened at a guest house on Upper Montrose Road in the upscale community known as the "Golden Triangle."

it is reported that about 8pm, 27 year old Tiki Hunia, a New Zealand native who resided in Hong Kong, China and his wife were sitting in a recreation area on the guest house property when a man walked up and demanded his cellular phone.

When his demand was not met, the gunman opened fire hitting Mr. Hunia three times in his upper body.

His wife was not harmed as the killer ran off.

The injured foreigner was taken to hospital where he died while being treated.

RJR News understands that senior investigators have been assigned to probe Mr. Hunia's killing.

Will the potential impact be any different if we stick to international consultant?

There are those that criticise the AIs ... now people eye will open. Tourism is too fragile to take any unnecessary risks.

Better to play it safe by making an international announcement.

TOURISTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO FLY INTO THE KINGSTON AIRPORT, OR CROSS THE BORDER FROM ANY OTHER PARISH INTO KINGSTON. FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THIS LAW WILL RESULT IN INDEFINITE DETENTION.

TOURISTS INCLUDE ANYONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE A JAMAICAN PASSPORT.
