The Trelawny police have confirmed the bodies of a man and woman found earlier today in Flamingo, Trelawny as those of missing Montego Bay couple, Thomas and Marjoke Chambers.

Sixty-three year-old Chambers and his 61-year-old wife of Spot Valley in St. James have been reported missing from their home since June 12.

On June 24 the couple’s car was recovered by the police in Drewsland, Kingston.

It’s understood that the vehicle - a red Nissan Expert- was being scrapped when the police on patrol made the discovery.

Two men were taken into custody in relation to the scrapping of the vehicle but at the time there was no evidence to link them to the disappearance of the couple.

The bodies were found just after midday by a fisherman in the Flamingo community, which is located near the Trelawny and St James border.

The bodies, which were fully clothed were found by fishermen under shrubs near the seaside.

The wife’s handbag was reportedly found on the scene with the contents including her identification card strewn across the ground.

Some residents from the community reported smelling a foul odour since last week but said they thought it was from a dead animal.

The police say the body of Mr. Chambers was found with the hands bound to the back.

Both bodies were in an advanced state of decomposition.

A joke dem a mek! Anyone found with a stolen vehicle in such circumstances must face some serious consequence if said vehicle is associated with a crime like murder.

As far as I am concerned, that's the risk they run when they are stealing vehicles. YES! They ought to be implicated in any crime associated with that vehicle! Once they understand that, then maybe they'll think twice before they go around stealing or accepting stolen property.

Sickko I am really sorry to hear what happened to your friends. I know you were thinking the worst but I am sure there was a small hope that they would be found alive. Stay strong bredren. Hopefully the murderers will be brought to justice and give you and the family some form of closure. - T.K.
No need to thank me forumites.

How did their actions lead to the murder of the couple? You are soft on gunmen who get shot with a weapon in their waistband yet yuh want to fry car thieves? A little consistency would be appreciated

Well ... how did they get the vehicle? If they didn't kill the couple, they should have an idea who did. If it is discovered its a gang .... charge the entire lot fi the murders.

Well they give up the names of those that gave them the vehicle. Suh having a gun in one's waist is okay to kill dem? How yuh know him nuh have a license fi it? How yuh know the gun is real? If the gun inna the waist, how is it pointed at the police? Afterall, that the regular excuse.

Okay. And how yuh know the car scrappers were involved in the murder? Mosiah wants to fry them simply for receiving stolen property of a murder victim.
