LUCEA, Hanover — Police were last night still questioning Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) councillor for the Lucea division, Easton Edwards, and his wife Michelle, in connection with the death of their five-year-old son, Lenon, whose lifeless body was found in the family car yesterday during a graduation ceremony in this north western town.

The police alleged that the couple had left the child in their BMW motorcar asleep shortly after they arrived at the Lucea United Church for the Esher Primary School graduation ceremony.

It was not clear what time the parents arrived at the ceremony, but the police said the boy’s body was found on the back seat of the car at about 2:00 pm.

Both should be locked up. How can you leave a child in a car with the windows up? Madness!

you know, when i read it i assumed that the car was left running with the ac on and that would have been bad enough..

there is no way they should have left him in the car even if he was asleep.
