Popular deejay Bounty Killer, whose real name is Rodney Price, is in trouble with the law again. This time, the deejay is accused of assaulting a pregnant woman.
Price appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday to answer to charges of assault occasioning bodily harm.

The allegations against the deejay are that on May 20, the complainant was at a popular hang-out spot in New Kingston when she was approached by Price who demanded to know "wha yuh a do ya". It is alleged that he pushed her in the chest, then hit her in the face and head, causing bruising and swelling. It is further alleged that some of the deejay's friends also joined in the attack by punching her in the head. The complainant, who is a 22-year-old student, has reportedly known the deejay for about six years.
The matter was reported to the police on the same day, but the deejay was arrested and charged on June 18. He was granted station bail.
When Price appeared before Resident Magistrate Georgianna Fraser, a trial date for September 10 was set.
The deejay's bail was extended and he is to return on that date.
Price is no stranger to the court and currently has a matter pending before the Traffic Court where he is charged with obstructing traffic and disobeying a red light. That matter is to be tried on July 29.
Bounty Killer is known for songs like Poor People Fed Up and Look Into My Eyes, and is responsible for shows like Saddle to the East.
