But speaking with the RJR News Centre Monday morning, Mrs. Davis White said the <SPAN class=kLink style="FONT-WEIGHT: 400; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: blue! important; BORDER-BOTTOM: blue 1px solid; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana,Arial; POSITION: relative; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent">proposal</SPAN> was not practical.
“We believe that the opposition’s promise to guarantee a benefit to every contributor is unrealistic at this time purely because we are talking about guaranteed benefits to all working age contributors and that to our mind is something that is not doable certainly in the near future,” said Mrs. White.
“It is something that I would expect each of us would want but to our minds it is not something that is doable,” she continued.
