on the flip side as a little boy i once saw about 3 dogs chasing a car. one got hit badly and the other 2 turned on him and finished him off!
someone explained to me that they did not want it to suffer. this may be true, but at the time i could not help thinking that their motivation was survival of the fittest i.e. "ef yuh cya'an run dung cya'ar widout get lick, might as well wi tek yuh out!"
