It's all well and good to have some memorable quotes in one's speech, but, where is the action?
Why has the govt. politicised Labour Day by choosing official Labour Day projects in key JLP constituencies? Wasn't it enough when they, quite arbitrarily, chose West Portland for last year's project?
Then the new security minister is talking about a civilian police force. Hmmm, where have I heard that before? Oh yes! Peter Phillips had suggested it when he was the minister in charge of security. Of course, the then opposition shot it down, bringing up old talk about brigadistas.
As for the police, I am wondering what would be Lazie position if this contracted, agreed to, promised raise was denied by the previous govt.
