  • Funeral services will be held this Friday

    for Gerald Levert.

Gerald Leverts family has released funeral service arrangements for the 40-year-old singer who died last week.

The service is set to take place at noon on Friday at the Cleveland Music Hall, 500 Lakeside Ave. in Cleveland, Ohio. The "Celebration of Life" tribute will feature musical tributes from Stevie Wonder, Johnny Gill (who was a former LSG bandmate), Angie Stone and Gerald's younger brother Sean, who was a member of the 80s and 90s R&B group LeVert.

Celebrity guests expected to attend include Keith Sweat, Steve Harvey, Yolanda Adams, Aretha Franklin, The Whispers, The O'Jays and Angela Winbush.

Fans will be allowed to come to the service on a first come, first serve basis. Doors will open at 11 a.m.

Preliminary autopsy results suggest that Levert may have died of mild to moderate heart disease, but a final autopsy may take up until eight weeks to be reported.
The family is asking that instead of flowers, donations be made to the R&B Foundation, which can be sent to Andy Gibson, c/o Trevel Productions Inc., 13816 Cedar Road in University Heights, OH 44118.
