Jawge... "CAST" grew up... from College to University. Now U Tech.
But that shouldn't detract from your position.
I do have to wonder about where you're coming from; Nanny P? and her band of has-beens? come on Jawge; we need a new leaf, new blood, young , vibrant, energetic, with the country's progress at heart, with a clear vision of what is needed in Education. Nanny P and her party had their chance and what legacy did they leave in Education? Not a damn thing!Peter R

We must look at this thing realistically
boss: It's evident now that the JLP doesn't have the populace at
heart or even have a nationalistic agenda (in the info age). As I said long ago the people cannot impose their will on the JLP it's the other way around.
Looking at the PNP; they garnered a lot of experience over the years as sitting govt. If they sit back and the inexperienced JLP run the island in the ground, who's to blame?
How are you going to form a party with young minds then put them in GOVT.? It won't happen; they would even put JA in worst shape.
It's better you tell me that they diffuse to both parties and help shape Ja for the new dawn.
Nanny P has already said she would give up leadership to the young.
Boss it cannot go on; people must rise up with a national agenda and enter both side of the aisle or JA will pay dearly. Ja can ill afford to have this master and slave mentality. The info age won't see race; if your are in a particular location , you will be dealt according to the location you are from. If you have nothing to offer, forget it.
It's evident that the PNP losing the election was good, because now that we see the JLP,it's conclusive that the JLP has to change its philosophy and outlook. This way JA can progress.
Do you see it? JA is in serious trouble and they are fliting with disaster.
There will be no winners in this one.

I’m sure that one look at Portia’s West Kingston constituency will support your noble claim that she has the “(Jamaica) populace at heart (and) have a nationalistic agenda”?
“People cannot impose their will on the JLP….:”
Boss, is it that the misery-plagued people in Portia’s constituency could impose their will on her (as one of the longest serving cabinet minister) and her party but failed to do so because they either had no sense or no ambition?
Isn’t Omar Davies (one of the new advisers/leaders you strongly recommended at the start of this thread) the longest serving minister in recent times? Therefore, did his policies have anything to do with the unenviable socio-economic situation in which Jamaica finds itself today?
Finally, when you post here, do you do so under immense duress?

It funny how our saviors had 18 years and left Jamaica with 1/3 squatter without knowing.
Left Jamaica with education fees that cost more than tax on educational computer and left Jamaica with so many illiterate students and such bad CXC scores.
you right, God help us.- Don't let negative things break you, instead let it be your strength, your reason for growth. Life is for living and I won't spend my life feeling cheated and downtrodden.

In 18 years Brazil, India and China has moved from poverty to world power. Domican Republic had grown there economy gracefully. So too has Trinidad, Ireland, Botswana and so many others and Jamaica hasn't achieved 3% growth in any one year. If that is progress then you join and leave me out.- Don't let negative things break you, instead let it be your strength, your reason for growth. Life is for living and I won't spend my life feeling cheated and downtrodden.
