Tire marks for 50m plus extensive damage to the car seems to indicate speeding. Don't expect Bolt to get ant ticket. Police love sprint stars. A few year ago Olympic champion Dovan Bailey smashed his BMW and left the scene and that was the end of that matter.

Perhaps he should also add an AWD drive vehicle to his fleet for use on wet roads.

Well dont know about that. I am sure when Donavan smashed up his Merc and left he was not charge as there was nothing to charge him with. The real story was he may have been over the limit but thats why he left and went home and come back the next day. There might be some other factor here .. what about hydro-planing.. I have seen that especially with low profile tyres.. .. Its weird for a rear whell drive to loose control but again soft shoulder can spin you out.. thank god he and the occupants are ok..

Looks like they did charge bailey with careless driving and failing to leave the scene of an accident. In addition he would have to pay for the damage done to public property (the pole.)

Back to Bolt, I thought about the hydro planing but would that leave solid tyres marks for 50m? Perhaps the best way to protect Bolt from himself is to charge him with careless driving and speeding plus his managers need to take away that powerful M3 from him and give him some sort of less powerful and more intelligent AWD vehicle. If it was hydro planing an intelligent AWD system could have detected a short break in the hydro planing and helped him out. BMW coming out with a very intelligent Xdrive AWD system in the fall. In the meanwhile Mecedes would be more than happy to steal the sown give a 4 MATIC AWD car.
