  • Companies to be wound up

    Finance
Minister Audley Shaw said the administration is seriously considering winding up about 60 Government companies in an effort to cut costs.

He said the move will also be aimed at rationalizing the public sector.

According to Mr Shaw 15 companies have already been closed.

Suh yuh nuh think agencies that not pulling them weight or doing stuff that are redundant shoud be wound up? See, time and again Omar spoke of the need to reduce the size of the public sector, all he did was talk. As Opposition Shaw spoke of the need to reduce the size of the public sector, all he could do was talk,, now he is minister him start dealing with it ... even though he isn't going about it as aggressively as was expected.

Same thing with the recommendation from the Matalon report. Omar sat on it for years ... Shaw or should I say, Man a Yaad implement them, even though they are unpopular.
