Not so sure it’s a waste of money, as the worldwide exposure for “little” Trinidad will be priceless! As far as many people are concerned, the Caribbean is Jamaica (I had a Guyanese friend who was once asked by a travel agent if Guyana was in Jamaica – I am serious!!). With this level of international exposure (news coverage and video shots of Port of Spain), the name “Trinidad & Tobago” will be firmly implanted in the minds of millions of people worldwide.

Trinidad’s (so far) unimpressive tourism industry can only benefit from this exposure (providing the government manages to keep violent crime under control in the years ahead).
