Cabinet approves US$ millions contracts for e-Learning project

CABINET this week approved a contract worth US$2,253,750 to Mico University College by the Ministry of Mining and Telecommunications to provide information communication technology (ICT) training and development services under the e-Learning project.
4,000 teachers are to be provided with training for the implementation of the e-Learning syllabus.
A US$4,178,668 contract was awarded to LIME and one for US$2,920,400 to Flow, for the installation of an islandwide broadband network, intended to widen Internet access in Jamaica, including for residents, the public sector and schools.
