Entertainment personality Tristan Palmer was remanded in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday on charges of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
His co-accused Nickesha Spence was granted $100,000 bail.
The court learnt that about 2 a.m. on March 20, this year, a police party responded to a call of disturbance in Waterford, Portmore, St Catherine. On their arrival, Palmer and Spence, who are a common-law couple, ran from a section of the house. A search was conducted and two illegal guns, one Springfield 45 pistol with six rounds and a Burser .380 pistol with eight rounds, were seized by the police. Both parties were taken into custody.
However, when the case came up for mention before Resident Magistrate Caylis Wiltshire, bail was denied for Palmer, while Spence was granted bail. Both return to court on April 27.
