Maybe one of you guys can teach me something here..Does Trade Union have the right to tell a company how to run it's operation? I just saw an article where the unions are looking to boycott meetings because the Air Jamaica company "Is not taking their recommendations seriously..on how to restructure the airline to prevent job loss". Now in my mind, that is the Job of the CEO and the Board. If Trade Unions have this right, why bother hiring and paying a CEO....I guess we will hear of a strike pretty soon...Then we ask why JA can get better...Culture really is not investor friendly.
While everyone else in the world is laying off people, we will have the Trade Union stick up the national airline and run them out of business.
I would think the Trade union Rep is on the board and that's how he contributes to the decisions...Not at the negotiation table
