Nat. Neighbourhood Org. to lobby Gov’t to make lewd music illegal
The National Neighbourhood Community and Security Development Watch, has added its voice to the debate raging over the ban on lewd lyrics imposed by the Broadcasting Commission.
Delroy Dobney, President of the organisation, formerly called National Neighbourhood Watch Secretariat, on Monday told RJR News that it will be asking the Government to take strong action against the airing of lewd music, especially in public places.
"We are going to lobby the Government to enforce the laws as it relates to the lewdness and the impact that this type of music is having on our children.
It is being played on our buses; we look at the fact that our children are exposed to DVD's at school ... this music is inoculating their minds and our organization is going to be looking at how we're going to lobby the Government to allow it to be far reaching," said Mr. Dobney.
