It is not really a matter of banning it from radio. It is about media people setting and demanding a higher standard. They need to realize the tremendous influence they have to shape thoughts, perceptions and ideas. As someone who is semi retired from that profession I know what I'm talking about. I have seen too many of my colleagues rush to play a chune simply because it is popular in the dancehall or because they want to brag that they are the first ones to play a certain artiste or song. In other words dem a use the song fi earn stripes. Re: mp3 etc, I'm well aware of those possibilities but radio is broadcasting with the emphasis on broad ie anybody can get it. With the current technology the internet almost at that broad level, but not quite.

Brickie, that's where the parents come in. Responsible parents should know what their kids listen to on their iPods and how they use the Internet. Meanwhile, they should not be bombarded with the garbage everytime they take a minibus or walk pass a bar in Cross Roads.

Even you can understand that, no?

More people use the internet than listen to the radio. If radio did not play ramping shop once it would still be as huge as it is now. Why listen to the radio when you can program your own radio station online?

Yes I do but you all won't stop there. You all want the music to cease as is evidenced by licking out at Sting and calling for bans on everything that moves.
