Red Label Wine is not really a wine, by classic definition; a product made from the fermentation of grapes. However, many fruits can be used to make an alcoholic beverage.

Red Label is cherry based I believe, what kind I don't know. The liquor stores categorize it more in the liqueur category rather than the wine...The maker (Wray & Nephew ?), probably categorizes it as wine as it is about 13+% alchol, about the same as wine...bottom line for me is that is has alcohol in it so eminently drinkable...pass the bottle please.
