THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

The more I think about it the more asinine it sounds , reggae music or Jamaican music blossomed when it started copying everything American and putting their spin to it by skipping a beat or doing it faster or slower depending on the genre ,mento , ska , rock steady , reggae or dance hall, so how in the world greatness is reserved for one niche over the next , unless we argue about originality , even then the argument can be made that we took American music to a different level and route with our own interpretation on how it should be song and played.

Early Jazz musicians would argue that Ska was broken Jazz or corrupted Jazz, it got no props .So the argument should really be did we pirate early American music and take it to a great level as the original ? And are we currently doing it today ,because we still pirate the Americans, granted we produce our own original music in alot more numbers.

We seem to forget that our music suffered because of mass covers of anything American , from country music to Neil Diamond love ballads .Again demolishing the theory that our music was somehow limited.Certainly not in the ability To cover anything American.

Our greatness is borne in the fact that our music is now being covered around the world , from ska to dance hall.
