KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Former Jamaican Prime Minister Edward Seaga is recovering at a hospital in Miami after developing a cough.
A former assistant for Seaga says he is awaiting test results but doing fine. Prudence Kidd-Deans says doctors have ruled out pneumonia.
Kidd-Deans said Saturday that he became sick while visiting a son and daughter in Miami over the holidays. She said he is expected to leave the hospital by Tuesday. Kidd-Deans did not say where the 78-year-old Seaga was being treated.
Seaga served as prime minister from 1980 to 1989. He also was the longest serving member of Jamaica's Parliament when he retired in 2005.
He famously shook hands with a bitter political opponent at the urging of Bob Marley during a 1978 concert.

What exactly is not good, McCain being alive or The Miami Herald's headline? (See the importance of proofreading in communication?)
