The gun isn't the problem, I am sure some of the innocent, murdered victims would be alive if they were in possession of a gun (illegally or legally) besides quite a few inner city communities would be facing unimaginable atrocities if their rivals thought they did not have the means by which to return fire.Police can't protect everyone.
I am not advocating people owning guns illegal but......, perhaps the criteria for getting a gun permit rule out a people that have always been disenfranchised.
The reality of being in the ghetto is esoteric to those living there
