I have never met either of the men, but it is my information that Kartel revels in having 'crews', that is, significant numbers of inner-city young people following in his wake. Mavado is the more reserved one.

Mavado and his crew have been in far more altercations both in Jamaica and abroad than Kartel and his crew yet this 58 year old who by his own confession knows and cares little about Dancehall music is fed information by someone and takes it as gospel and slickly infers that Kartel was behind this incident at Big Yard
