He did not really confess, but in a bid to save his political chances and to remedy people's perception of him, he revealed that he has informed, on the Governor, to the DA for many years.
Why do I think the Dems in Chicago are just imploding? This is internal party feuding. This is akin to the 1990's JLP. The Elephants are on the sidelines loving this. Most of what the governor is alleged to have done is being done all across this good ole USA everyday by both parties and at all levels of govt. The one thing that I have heard that is any different is that he want some $$$ in return for helping a hospital to get Medicaid funding. This type of thing turns my stomach. I can imagine campaign commericals with sick and dying people who are at the mercy of a shakedown Dem.
