    Friends of Jamaica --
    > Jamaicans overseas cannot continue to sit isolated and insulated in our little think-tanks and talk-shops, engaged in endless, idle chatter, trying to piece together the jigsaw images of the Jamaica of yesterday, relishing the past but having no real hope for the future of our homeland.

Jamlink needs your help in putting Jamaica back together, not only that we may have a place of our own when we feel the need to return home, but to keep "home" on the path to development, for the sake of our families who remain there, for those who have no option but to stay, and for those who have no wish to leave. With your support Jamlink can maximize its online presence and coalition of over 80, 000 Jamaicans to:
Help Jamaica reduce the mounting incidents of criminal activity and lawlessness by replacing the existing culture with a new paradigm shift of life-affirming values and attitudes.

Galvanize the active participation of the overseas community towards the upliftment of Jamaica, by using the web to feature cultural content which promotes Jamaica's most positive and unique attributes – we see this as an important channel for sustaining affinity to Jamaica, for this generation and beyond.

Broaden the scope of community activism by engaging the ordinary Jamaican citizen. To this end, we need your reports, your videos and your photographs of events happening around you. We will publish them to keep the global Jamaican community informed, so they can assist where-ever possible.

WE ARE OUR BROTHER'S KEEPER -- Read the complete article at Jamlink.com “because Jamaica matters”
-- Please forward this e-mail to every Jamaican that you know.
    -- Thanks

    Interesting!!

    A good move.. with potential.

Jamaica's leadership class will not come up with solutions..... it seems those outside Jamaica will have to do so.

I support the initiative, but I have seen organizations come and go, and groups need to get their hands dirty to have any meaningful impact.
