  • Charges against Tesha Miller dropped

Friday, 21 November 2008 Government prosecutors Friday withdrew criminal charges against the reputed head of the Spanish Town-based Klansman Gang, Tesha Miller.

st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) }Mr.Miller was charged for the January 14, 2005 gun slaying of three people along Cresser Lane in Braeton, St Catherine.

The three, Nicole Allen, Oraine Jackson and Jeffery Jonhson were allegedly slaughtered by Mr. Miller in a deadly gun attack.

But government prosecutors say they were forced to enter what is called a conditional nolle prosequi today because they cannot locate the sole eyewitness to the crime.

They further argued that they cannot use the Evidence Act because some of the evidence in their possession does not meet the criteria.

However, Miller is not out yet of the woods, as he's scheduled to stand trial for the April 7, 2004 murder of Robert Haughton.

Mr. Haughton was allegedly killed by Miller and members of his gang in the St John's Road area.

Government prosecutors will be using the Evidence Act to prosecute the case after the sole eyewitness was killed by gunmen in Spanish Town, St Catherine in August this year.

And we suppose to be hopeful about this? Over 4 years have passed, no witnesses, and we expect the prosecution to have some success.

Joke ting! But wi can waste time a talk bout death penalty. No one deserves to go on trial 4 years after the incident, much lesss to be given the death sentence after all that time.

Is it out of order for me to expect 4 murders from him in a week.

Jamaica a joke society. Since 6 month ago Bruce came up with some innative and up to now them can't even pass it or fail it. Instead it is all stuck in committee and everybody in Ja have a say. Jamaica is one talk shop. No wonder we have so many talk show.

Sometimes you wonder why some police get fustrated, if no innitative can't pass to support them then why not take action in their own hands?

Police get frustrated ? could we interpet that as extrajudicial killings ?
