    Actually, I was telling folks that several months ago, folks were saying that someone had said that there was a curse on Black Americans that the ones that were in slavery in America would not produce an American president. It was on a tv program. The host was saying that Obama was not a descendant of such slaves so the curse did not apply to him and he would become president. I dont remember if I posted it here.

      I have long said that if Barack was a descendant of slaves things would have been a lot different. Starting with his outlook, I was reminded!

                Let me expand on it anyway.

                I am trying to understand if Mosiah is differentiating Obama on the basis of his not being a product of the experience of black Americans, or on the basis of him not being a descendant of people who had been through the indignity of slavery, period.

                I think he means the former since he mentioned something about Colin Powell also being seen in a favourable light.
