The Government is continuing its thrust to enact whistle blower legislation to protect persons who give evidence on public sector corruption.
According to Prime Minister Bruce Golding, the Whistle Blower Legislation will not only protect civil servants.
"It protects those persons who mean well, want to do well, without it providing an opportunity for people who may have malicious intent to create unnecessary trauma."
Mr. Golding has called on the public to offer suggestions about how the proposal should be crafted.
The Prime Minister was speaking at a Government of Jamaica Audit Commission symposium on Tuesday.
