Yesterday was a red-letter day in the political history of the United States. Indeed, it may well be called a D-Day for the world's most vibrant and powerful democracy. Millions of Americans cast their votes in what will be remembered as a most historic election. Of course, for most of us here in Jamaica, it is widely and wildly anticipated that the Democratic presidential hopeful Senator Barack Hussein Obama will triumph over his Republican rival Senator John McCain.
