MILWAUKEE: Two people, a 55-year-old man and his 49-year-old estranged wife, were dead after a a domestic argument Monday morning.
The woman died of stab wounds inflicted by her husband. The man was fatally shot by his 23-year-old son, who was attempting to stop him from stabbing his mother.
According to police, the man broke into the house where his estranged wife and their two sons were living, and an argument ensued. The man
began stabbing his estranged wife . Their 23-year-old son grabbed a gun and shot his father.
After being shot, the man continued to stab his estranged wife. His son fired again, killing him. The woman later died from her stab wounds.
The woman had a restraing order against her husband.
Milwaukee police did not release the names of the victims.
The case must be reviewed, but a police spokeswoman said the son will probably not be charged because it was self-defense. The son has been released from custody.
