You thin k that the majority of illegal firearms on the street are obtained from licenced firearm holders? When since licenced firearm holders have weapons equivalent or superior to the security forces?

Karl, once again criminals will ALWAYS have guns. Jamaica's current laws are a dismay failure, and the police lack the means to protect the population. The average law abiding person does not have the means to defend themselves from thugs. Comparing guns with dynamite is lunacy.

I have mentioned this before on the forum, and I will reiterate it here again.

If a relative of mine did not have an licensed gun the in 1970s, he would be buried in Dovecot right now. Two armed men tried to rob him at his place of business, and he shot both before they could discharge their weapons.
One of the thugs died on the spot, while the other died a few days later at the hospital.

Recently, a police inspector came to his house and took away his pistol claiming that he is too old to own a 38 now!

Anyone who is armed with a gun, and tries to commit mayhem, deserves to lose their life.

Nonsense! Criminals do nto always have guns!

...and for those that do have guns...they get them from somewhere and that includes getting some guns from lawabiding citizens.

As to your relative who killed two criminals...did anyone seek to find out where and how the criminals got their guns?

...and what of the many citizens murdered for their guns? ...and those guns being used to murder others?

          ---------

What of the ass clearlessly running outside falling flat on his face andkilling his daughter...and the many in fit of rage using the unlinsed gun to kill lovers, wives, persons who stepped on their toes, bounced them...or in a drunken stupor murdered others?

What of those who clearlessly mislaid their guns? ...Mistakenly thought someone was about to attack them and fired indiscrimately and killed innocent bystanders? ...and the countless of other silly uses of guns that bring only 'weeping' to friends, acquaintances and family members?

BAN the guns! DISARM! Security forces only must have guns legally...all others BUDS!

You continue to evade my question. Do the gunmen obtain their high powered weapons from licenced firearm holders?

It certainly is not from licenced firearm holders KARL. You cannot get a licence to carry an M1

Karl, do you know how many guns are out there? The large majority, 99% of them, were not taken from licensed firearm owners. KILL THAT LIE NOW!

And as for your cruel characterisation of the father trying to protect his daughter...that is downright CRUEL of you. You need Jesus!

He is talking from his nether regions, Bricktop. He clearly said that they got their weapons from licensed firearm holders, and then he says he does not know.

                          The point Bricktop!
If the guns were not being imported in the quantities they currenty are...there would be less of them on the streets. Those type guns do not come in without a dulled sense of responsibility by those who turn a blind eye.

Ban the guns! DISARM and those who are in positions to either activiely or passively assist and or encourgage that trade would feel pangs of guilt and be not ready to just 'go along'. There would be a reduction of numbers on the streets.

...and the greatest deterent is in a society that has DISARMED. The risks associated with moving around with the illegal weapons and the terrible price the culprit is likely to pay makes it not a good gamble to carry illegal arms.

Currently the risks associated with exposure of an illegal firmarm is just about confined to that associated with another criminal coveting the firearm.

In a society where NO FIREARM is the law every other citizen is immediately a threat to the criminal bearer of the illegal firearm as a knowing informer and or attacker. After all is said and done the illegal firearm holder nuh BUD!

KARL have you ever heard of the guns for ganja trade with Haiti? How will banning licenced guns (guns are already banned for the majority of citizens anyway) stop illegal high powered weapons from coming into the island?

I have made the argument to you numerous times on why less guns means...leads to a safer society. If you have nothing new ask, why rehash the old questions?

Did you or did you not say that you didn't know where the high powered weapons that gunmen use come from? How can I be rehashing something you are oblivious to? If I were rehashing then you wouldn't be oblivious.
