It seems like the Republican governor of my state, Florida, either just read the book of Daniel or heard about it. Yesterday, he said he reconsidered his decision of a few weeks ago, and he has now decided to extend the hours for early voting each day. Many republicans in Florida's legislature, who developed the current law, are furious with the governor of their own party for his reconsideration and new interpretation. I think he wants to make sure he is on the right side when the flood gates fly open and serious review of the happennings of the last 8 years come to light. By the way, he is Jeb Bush's successor (now 2 years). He was elected as Attorney General of Florida during the dubious election of 2000. He was hoping to have been on the ticket instead of Palin and he hopes to have national political standing someday.
