    A 29-year-old policeman is now behind bars after the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions ruled that he be charged with carnal abuse, indecent assault and perverting the course of justice, in connection with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.
    The cop's name is being withheld, pending an identification parade in relation to the charge of perverting the course of justice.
    In the meantime, the relatives of a teenage girl - who is the complainant in the case against the cop - are worried after the child was abducted from her gate in the Kingston community of Harbour View last Friday night.
    The girl was standing at her gate when a white Toyota Hiace bus drove up with three armed men onboard. One of the armed men, relatives said, ordered the girl into the vehicle before it was driven away. The child has not been seen or heard from since.
    The teenager was dressed in a white merino, a cream shorts and a pair of black slippers. Anyone with information on her whereabouts are asked to contact the Kingston East Police or the nearest police station.

      When I heard her mother on Betty Ann Blaine's program Monday morning, I figured the child was dead. Boy!

        Probe intensifies into 14-yr old’s disappearance

        Detectives could make headway Thursday in their probe into the abduction of 14-year old Jahneel Goldburn, who is at the centre of a criminal case involving a police Constable.

        The policeman is accused of sexually assaulting the teenager.

        The 29-year old cop, who is also implicated in the teenager's disappearance, was scheduled to appear in an identification parade on Thursday.

        The Police High Command has turned the spotlight on members of the Force as the probe into the girl's disappearance deepens.

        At a press conference on Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Mark Shields said police personnel who worked closely with the accused Constable will be questioned.

        The Director of Public Prosecutions had ruled that the cop who is attached to the Harbour View Station, be charged with carnal abuse, indecent assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

        The girl disappeared last Friday and it is believed she was kidnapped. The police are investigating whether her disappearance is related to the charges she filed against the policeman.

        DCP Shields has appealed to police officers with information to come forward and assist in finding the child.

          The Director of Public Prosecutions had ruled that the cop who is attached to the Harbour View Station, be charged with carnal abuse, indecent assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
          All these charges without any physical evidence? The only thing that can stick right now is kidnapping, which will be backed up by eyewitnesses.

            This one occasion when the silly US system of "I believe" rather than "You have been found guilty on the facts" has me thinking of supporting the sending of the cop to jail whether or not the facts are there to support the accusations.

            No finding of him guilty on murder charges...no hanging for him...but the trauma of what happens to straights put with those on the other side when in prison!

            To the 'girlfren block' for him...a fate worse than death!
