into Harlem to ask people why they are voting for Obama, but pretended that McCains views were Obamas (pro-life, pro Iraq war, etc) and that Palin was his running mate. Of course they agreed with all the views that they thought were Obamas but are really McCains.

This bit should not viewed in isolation. I have sirius and listen the show daily and even though Howard was a big Hillary backer almost everyone else were big Obama backers from day one.
