Mayor of Kingston Councillor, Desmond McKenzie is now in Jerusalem where he is attending the 26th annual Jerusalem Conference of Mayors.
The conference, which started yesterday, ends on Thursday September 18.
Six mayors from five continents will attend the meeting, which will discuss enacting environmental policies, while focusing on the toughest challenges facing modern cities.
Kingston is the only city in the Americas to be represented at the meeting.
Jerusalem’s Mayor Uri Lupolianski said the visiting mayors would be provided with a unique opportunity to reflect on pressing issues affecting various cities.
