    Ziggy Marley hypes baseball???

    I was just watching the opening montage for Game four of the World Series and they used Ziggy Marley and his new song to be the theme song for the night's game...not only was his song used but there was video of him swinging a baseball bat.

    The song sounded very 'preppy' and suited to the American College market, a far cry from the hard hitting songs his younger brother has been putting out.

    Ziggy reminds me of the 'fat men' that Caesar had around him and it always seem he wa sout of touch with every day livity.

    Big up to Ziggy and also his brothers. they are reaching the same and different markets.

    Ziggy has been a poster bwoy for comericial easy lyrical reggae for a while appearing on my teenage and young adults shows.

    While his brothers have been hitting a more hardcore/hiphop audience. However most of been successful in getting their music accross bigtime.

    Hope them have a Marley family tour again in my lifetime.

      BTW, I see our baller friend chose the school in the south, I got a message form his mother the other day and visited to the website...he seems to have settled in well, started two games out of about 16 played so far and scored a goal.

      I will give him a call soon and see how he is doing...

        If unnu tek some time and listen Ziggy lyrics you will realise that he is actually way ahead of the rest of the family including Damian. Open yuh mind and listen to Dragonfly CD, it wicked!

          I find Ziggy a bit to preachy sometimes, esp. in the 1980's mode. And it's always going to be difficult for him if he can't sing those good lyrics on catchy rhythms.



          Not fighting di yute. I actually do like most of his songs. But for me, Damian is at another level!

            Yes indeed ! As far as songwriting go, best of da marleys by far.
