There is a new development in the probe into Monday's double killing in the community of Park in St. Elizabeth.
Police investigators say Jason Cranston, 30, who was shot and killed along with Sonia Bennett, 45, was a witness in a case against reputed head of the Klansman Gang Tesha Miller.
Mr. Cranston was a resident of Job Lane in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.
It is reported that he was told to enter the Witness Protection Programme but declined to participate.
As was reported by RJR News on Tuesday, the police suspect that the attack was a contract killing.
It is reported that the couple was trailed from Kingston to St. Elizabeth where they were killed shortly after they left a business establishment just before 5pm Monday.
Mr. Cranston was hit while sitting in a Suzuki truck while Miss Bennett, who was a passenger, was killed while attempting to flee from her attackers.
