Dr. Phillips also leveled several criticisms on the present Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) government.
He maintained that the gains made by the past PNP administration are being eroded as the education system is starved of resources and the crime levels are gradually increasing.
"The world is in crisis and Jamaica is feeling its effect. The price of oil continues to fluctuate on the world market and there is the prospect of food shortages.
Despite the election promises of the JLP to expand the economy, create jobs and dramatically reduce crime, it is obvious that the country is drifting," said presidential candidate Dr. Phillips.
