  • JLP eroding previous PNP gains

Dr. Phillips also leveled several criticisms on the present Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) government.

He maintained that the gains made by the past PNP administration are being eroded as the education system is starved of resources and the crime levels are gradually increasing.

"The world is in crisis and Jamaica is feeling its effect. The price of oil continues to fluctuate on the world market and there is the prospect of food shortages.

Despite the election promises of the JLP to expand the economy, create jobs and dramatically reduce crime, it is obvious that the country is drifting," said presidential candidate Dr. Phillips.

Really? After Debt servicing, which sector got the most from the 08-09 budget? Obviously I've missed something ... but what gains were made in education under the previous gov't? Wasn't it Peter himself that complained that too many of our children are leaving school uneducated? Suh .. is that the gains he is talking about?

Wasn't it Peter that was MONS when we've experienced the highest murder rates in the country? Suh wah kinda gains him talking bout? Karl ... Jawge .. as Everton Blender would say .. "Step up step up!!"
