Some rural areas to get official bus system Thursday, 07 August 2008 The Government has announced plans for a state-run bus service for four rural towns.
Transport Minister Mike Henry disclosed details of the proposed service during an interview with RJR News on Wednesday.
He said towns in Clarendon, St. Elizabeth, St. Ann and St. James will benefit from the bus service following the completion of a study.
Mr. Henry said the system will coincide with the revival of the railway service.
"They may differ a little bit depending on the town because each town has a different social sphere.
All the services will be integrated to connect with the railway system," he said.
