Wanted man linked to 20 murders nabbed Thursday, 31 July 2008
One week after $100,000 bounties were announced for their arrest, the St. James Police now have in custody three of the ten men listed as the parish's most wanted.
The latest arrest took place Wednesday night when Anthony Christie otherwise called "Bolo" of Bottom Pen was nabbed during a sting operation in Montego Bay.
Mr. Christie has been linked to more than 20 murders in St. James including a double killing at the Old Shoe Market in downtown Montego Bay.
Earlier this week, two men who were labelled as St James' most wanted were taken into custody.
They were identified as Omar Lamey also known as ‘Yellow' and Tedmar White otherwise called ‘Kanti'.
Both men were wanted for murders and shootings.
Clarendon most wanted held
In Clarendon, another of the parish's most wanted men has been nabbed by the police.
He is Solomon Williams, 30, of Cannan Heights.
Mr. Williams was wanted for three counts of shooting with intent and absconding bail.
On Sunday night the police were on patrol in the community of Mocho when they spotted Mr. Williams smoking a ganja spliff.
He began to act suspiciously and was taken into custody and questioned.
It is reported that he gave the police a fictitious name.
The police did further background checks and discovered that he was wanted.
