and....the myth that racism exists in subtle and not too subtle ways has been outed?!!!

What you thought of it overall?

I thought it was a well done documentary and highlighted some things that mainstream America would never be exposed to particularly in the justice system.

Still I have to say that at times I thought it was a bit too easy on the black community, particularly the leaders in the community. Maybe that was because the point of the documentary was to present to non-blacks a picture of the challenges faced by the black community and not really a totally balanced perspective.

I did appreciate it. What stood out to me was one father that was taking care of his two children on his own, while trying to find somewhere to move to and then there was this idiot who had two children and doesn't give a damn.

I've always been critical of those irresponsible men (if we can call them men), but it good that the documentary showed that there are those that are trying to be there for their children.

I was amazed that successful women who are unable to find love within their race are thinking twice about looking elsewhere.

HIV/AIDS. The scene in Huston proves how much there are those who simply don't care. Lets listen if the TD Jakes and others in expensive suits are going to step up and start talking.

it wasn't? to hear it being told on here sometimes one would get the impression that it was a myth!

There is something about the black experience that seems to make it much harder for a black woman to feel comfortable finding love outside her race than it does a black man.

It is slowly changing though, and it should because adequate numbers of successful black men are simply not available.

If the sun don't shine one Monday morning there are jokers that are quick to cry racism. If the sun shine Tuesday morning, dem still cry racism.

The issue is, too many jokers cry racism fi every little thing .. its like the boy that cry wolf.

Only the black community allows itself to have self-appointed leaders.

We all know who the self-appointed leaders of the black community are, at least the ones that operate at the national level.

It seems as if we like to rally around a single leader and position though, even when the issue might not be a clear cut thing.

Must be because of our historical success using this model with broader issues like segregation, colonialism and aparthied.
