    Among the changes, Ford is expected to announce that it will convert three of its North American assembly plants from trucks to cars, according to people familiar with the plans.

      Toyota is going to feel it if they don't move away from big vehicles too. There must be around 8 different Toyota SUVs out there right now, more than any other maker, it appears. At some point, the consumers will realise that it's not worth the expenditure in gas. Even my Escalade is up for sale!

      Of course, as soon as gas either falls or stabilises, we will all resume our love affair with the gass-guzzlers.

        Convert the Escalade to diesel, if guzzling is the problem. How much for diesel in JA? It is still half the price of gas in T&T $1.50TT (27cents US) a litre.

          What?!? Diesel is the most expensive form of fuel in Jamaica! Mi feel it fi di man dem whe buy dem diesel vehicle because dem feel dem woulda save some money!

            They have 40% more fuel economy than comparable gas engines though!
