  • No wonder Air Jamaica in the hole

    its currently in. Each MP and their spouse plus each senator and their spouse is entitled to 4 FIRST CLASS ticket on Air J each year ( mek mi get mi calculator).

    60 MPs + 21 senators = 81
    * 2 = 162 * 4 tickets = 648.

    648 First Class tickets? How much fi a first class ticket?

    Well, Wehby say him going to reduce it to 2 and see if they can eventually reduce it to 0. Wish him luck.

        I wonder who else getting free tickets?

        Perhpas, If the goverment paid for all ofd these 'free government' tickets then the income side of the books would look better.

          If I did it correctly, the website quotes Lovebird Executive if you fly this Saturday to NYC returning in two weeks, as $434 US one way EXCLUDING taxes, so round it to $1000US. What could we do with $648,000US?hmmm

            Lazie, sad thing is that is probably the tip of the iceberg; I'm almost certain employees, while probably not allowed 1st class tickets accumulate a bag of free tickets as well. That is why BWIA shut down; one sensible thing the TT govt did, to restart the new airlines with fresh mandate and new terms of operation.

              Well, a pilot was interviewed as well. According to him, employees only get a seat if the seat is available.

                What you expect him to say? theoretically that is how it supposed to work, the actual practice is probably much different.

                  What a thing if you did ever hear what Vin and his people would carry on with.

                  If the new people are anything similar, is nuff bleeding going on.
