I don't believe that the low level hitmen will get away with this one. It is almost a guarantee that the state will find and eliminate them. However, the criminal enterprise above the hitmen are safe.

The only effective action that has been taken about our best known criminal enterprises(shower, spanglers etc) was done by the American State. Perhaps the americans are our best hope for dismantling our criminal enterprises.

Columbian Pablo Escobar officially became a target for the US when he killed an american citizen that was on a plane which he had ordered blown up in order to kill some goverment officials. I hope Mr Chambers has an american passport and that the american goverment decides to go after the people above the hitmen.

I don't mean sending in the Americans to take out the foot soldiers and the low level bosses and you dont have to do it with guns blazing. I mean going after people above that level which whatever means, even denial of visas.

The columbians ruthlessly took out the support network around Escobar's and left him isolated. If the state department cancelled the visas of the people who support thes sort of criminals that the problem will be addressed.

One more thing, the dons and the people above the dons don't live in slums. (that is just a work place.)

Dont hold your breath for the politicians to take the first shot. It was Columnist Jack Anderson who exposed the power and the reach of the American mobsters while J Edgar Hoover and the FBI was denying its power and influence. Once Anderson let the cat out of the bag, the federal goverment had to act.
