Why it makes sense Obama takes Hillary as his VP?

    1. Obama cannot win the presidency without ‘purple states’!
Hillary brings in voters that will make wins in ‘purple states’ on the cards.

    2. Obama needs the women vote. Hillary brings the women vote.

    3. The polls have been consistently showing and still shows that the voters (not the talking heads) are firmly behind the idea of an Obama/Clinton ticket. The voters want it & they have consistently said so.

    4. Hillary brings most of her 17,000,000+ followers!

Racism! Racism! Racism! Racism! Remember RACISM IS ALIVE AND WELL…THAT underpins the following.

    5. Obama needs a VP that the majority who are white voters will be comfortable with.
    a) A majority of white male voters…and…b) many white women voters may not like the in your face (world-wide reality view/show) of a black man giving a white man orders. That ‘white set’ would find the idea of a woman talking the orders more palatable.

    6. In the General Elections – presidential election – race bating shall be more pronounced. Having a white as his side-kick dampens that issue.

    7. There is the feeling that some whites shall conveniently use the controversies associated with Obama to rationalize and hide racist tendencies. Hillary, as previously said, would dampen the rate of defection from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party.

    Obama's aim?

    Win the presidency - now!

    Hillary's aim?

Win the presidency next time around - 2012!

    --------------

    Obama wins!
Hillary may have to wait on 2016...and just as in Track and Field in 4 years...forget 8 years!...some new hot shot tends to come along.

My guess if Obama wins - Hillary campaigns for him. Few appearances. Not as passionately as she campaigned for herself. No Bill or Chelsea on the campaign trail.

btw -If by chance Hillary wins the nomination. I would expect Obama to campaign in like few appearances and in a like low key manner...if at all!
No Michelle Obama or his kids on the campaign trail.

    Obama loses!
The looking ahead is at the end of his first term John McCain/the White House could be ripe for the taking by a democrat!

Obama would try once more...and so would Hillary. That time around Hillary should be more prepared - (Having been taught by Obama's current campaign on how to compete in all states.) - ...and should make more gains than Obama can in re-tooling type campaign. - The thinking being; Obama has brought in an entirely new way Democrats run a campaign and therefore would be able to increase his efficiency levels at smaller %age than Hillary who started off with a poorly run campaign.

With Hillary as his potential VP, the GOP would have an easy job ..how the yaad saying guh? "Cock mouth kill cock?"

If Hillary publicly say she is interested, him almost have to give it to her.

There is no way he is going to win over her voting bloc at this late stage if he disses her. And he can't win without it. Not enough blacks and latte-drinking white liberals to make a majority.

if hillary does that, that should remove ANY doubt that she places herself and her ambitions above the party. she very well might do it....mi nuh put nutten past her!

Reluctantly, I agree that Obama will need Hillary to win in November, even though she comes with more baggage than "Bag of Wire". I would prefer that he adds the female Governor from Kansas as his running mate to appease the feminists (including Karl) who will back Hillary to the end of the earth.

            yuh capitulate easy eh?

all losing democratic candidates from time immemorial are expected to stomp for the nominee, hillary should be no different.

he does not need her on the ticket to win if she tows the party line.

              Could you clear this up?
Just so I am absolutely clear!

...she very well might do it.
Take the VP post is offered? ...or refuse that VP post if offered?

...mi nuh put nutten past her!
...either to take or not take if offered?

... True but he can find someone else who can.

... He can also promise her and the country a cabinet level appointment dedicated to women affairs.

... I find that hard to believe. Hillary is popular otherwise she would have the most delegates. People want change and the Clintons are part of the status quo.

... Well, a black president would be giving orders to a lot of white men. Should he fire all the white men and replace them with white women?

if hillary campaigns publicly for the VP spot.

might very well campaign publicly for the vp spot.

to campaign publicly for the VP spot

btw she is doing it subtley now....and that's ok.

Which media house do you work with?

How could a president who picks, composes-creates and manages his cabinet jump to the dictates of his VP? ...betta yuh seh Michelle a guh still 'pull im strings'!

Maybe to an extent, but as it stands he won't even get to the white House without them ,so pick you poison.

Looks like you believe the talking heads claim that she is 'campaigning for the VP post to be offered to her so she could refuse'! ...but if that is the case she is in effect "not campaigning for the VP post"...but campaigning for "right to refuse the VP post"...
                        Right?

If your answer is, "yes!"...could it be the 'talking heads' have not a clue what the r@#$$ they are saying?

Well, I have been thinking about the issue, not paying attention to Karl's post though. Will Hillary stump for Obama on the campaign trail?

that is the question...if she doesn't....she said she would work her heart out, then that would say a lot about her and her raw naked ambition.
