Monday, 19 May 2008 Energy Minister Clive Mullings said the Government is fast-tracking plans to introduce cheaper fuel into Jamaica.
Mr. Mulling said details will be outlined during his contribution to the Sectoral Debate.
"It's not that we can sit and complain ... the entire world is facing this challenge."
Mr. Mullings said this cheaper fuel is gasoline with a 10% blend of ethanol.
He said this blend will help to control the volatility of the prices and ensure that Jamaica has a renewable source.
"We're responding to the challenges but in the meanwhile we have to conserve," said Mr. Mullings.
