    I am sure that crime plan included a strong emphasis on crime prevention and law enforcement. We don't have that right now.

    Re the extreme sentencing, do you think Jamaica is ready to send people to jail for years for possession of a spliff, or driving while intoxicated? If we are, maybe zero-tolerance could make a difference.

        I suspect that to most in the middle-class, zero-tolerance means "no mercy on those ghetto people".

            Or maybe, we should rearm the population, so gunmen think twice about approaching people.

              Not sure that would work. Much of the gun crime is taking place where the people are pretty much armed!
